Wellesley Charitable Foundation
We would like to thank everyone at the Wellesley Charitable Foundation for generously supporting the children at Whoopsadaisy. The Foundation was launched in 2012 by Chartered Financial Planners, Wellesley Wealth Advisory, with the aim of supporting Sussex-based charities working with ill or disadvantaged children.
One of Wellesley’s Directors, Steve Gabbitas, first visited the Whoopsadaisy Pavilion in summer 2013, to meet some of the children and their parents. Following on from that visit, the Wellesley Charitable Foundation made donations in support of the children in our Under-fives’ Groups and the Summer Holiday Club for 5-12 year olds.
More recently they gave a grant of £800 which enabled Whoopsadaisy to buy two shiny new ‘rollator’ walking aids which have made a real difference to the children’s progress towards independence.
In April 2016 Wellesley’s Managing Director Tony Hannigan and Lynn Fuller from the Foundation visited Whoopsadaisy to watch one of our Under-fives Group sessions, and to present Whoopsadaisy with a generous cheque for £3,300, which is the approximate cost of providing one child place at Whoopsadaisy for a year.
The relationship between Wellesley and Whoopsadaisy goes beyond donations: over the years several of the Wellesley team have been spotted at Whoopsadaisy coffee mornings – not to mention dancing the night away at one of the Whoopsadaisy Music Nights!
