People do amazing things to raise funds for Whoopsadaisy. Unlike many other charities we don’t have our own large fundraising team, so we rely on the time and energy of volunteers and our local community. All our resources go towards doing what we do best – supporting disabled children and their families.
There are many ways you can raise funds for us. If you’re struggling for ideas fear not our brilliant team have a few ideas that may help:
Donate to receive your hand-made Whoopsadaisy bear – they make great gifts for children and adults too. Bears can be made to order in a fabric of your choice, or choose from our latest bear pack. Contact trustee, volunteer, and chief bear-maker, Helen Palmer. So far, her brilliant bears have raised over £10,000.
There are a myriad of opportunities to challenge yourself and raise funds for Whoopsadiasy. You could do something exciting like skydive, achieve your dream by trekking in exotic parts of the globe, or push yourself to new fitness levels by taking part in a marathon or cycling challenge.
Throughout the year we aim to hold a small number of fundraising events including regular coffee mornings in Preston Park. Follow us on social media for details.
A word from our families
“Dylan has a rare genetic syndrome which means he has weak muscles and delayed development. He is a happy, fun child, but we are living in the dark with his condition. Whoopsadaisy opened us up to the world of Conductive Education. Thanks to the team there he has learned to stand independently and use a walker.” – David, Dylan’s dad
