Monday morning and back to a full week of Conductive Education, after the half term break. This morning’s group (7th June 2016) is the “advanced mobility group”. Wonderful Head of Conductive Education Beata Turi Kusel, with the help of lovely volunteer Nanae Koimai, will be teaching this morning. The children, in this group are already walking or nearly walking independently. Today they are learning to improve their balance, posture, co-ordination and walking pattern. As usual their will be lots of singing, love and playfulness to encourage the children. Four children regularly attend this group with their parents and carers, and another two children come along just once a month. ITS VOLUNTEER’S WEEK – THANK YOU! Over 21 million people volunteer in the UK at least once a year. At Whoopsadaisy we are totally dependent on volunteers to help our children achieve their goals. Every week day volunteers assist our highly trained specialists deliver Conductive Education to our under five groups, where children attend with their parents. On Saturdays we usually have one volunteer per child to help, as parents generally leave the older children during these sessions. Throughout our holiday clubs we have teams of between ten and twenty volunteers, making sure that every child gets the attention they need to help them achieve their goals.
